North WALKS
About Us
Walking is ideal for most people to become physicaly active without the need for any special equipment. It is a great way to get some fresh air, meet new people, socalise and get out and about in your local community. All ages and abilities are welcome on our walks. The walk leader will ensure you are comfortable walking at your own pace.
Our Walks
Come along and enjoy your local area, meet new freinds and look after your health all at the same time! North Warwickshire provides eleven walking groups across the Borough which are all led by volunteer walk leaders.
Our organised walks offer 3 levels of walking, all of which vary at the different locations:
1 Step - Short 10 - 30 mins walk
2 Steps - Medium 30-60 mins Walk
3 Steps - Longer 45-90 mins walk
- Refreshments are available at some of our walks - this is a great oppurtunity for a chat and to make new friends.
- Before going on your first walk you will be asked to fill out a Outdoor Health Questionnaire, this is just a few simple questions asking about your general health and contact details. Please turn up 10 minutes before you first walk to fill this in.
- Volunteer Walk Leader Training - We are always looking for new volunteers. Full training is provided free of charge. If you are inteested in becoming a Walk Leader please do get in touch.
PLEASE NOTE: All of our walking groups offer a 10-30minute walk at the start of each month.
